ABOUT CANDICE ADAMS
Throughout her life, Candice has continuously strived to find ways to better her community. From a very early age, Candice has spent many hours volunteering, including in college when Candice spent four years as a Rape Crisis Counselor, aiding victims of sexual assault throughout Butler County, Ohio. It is her passion to help people that drew Candice to law school. In 2009, Candice started at The John Marshall Law School, with the hopes of one day being able to help members of her community through legal means. She worked tirelessly during her time at John Marshall, and was as a member of The John Marshall Law Review and National Moot Court Team. She graduated in 2012, cum laude. The same work ethic that she had during law school is what Candice will use as Clerk of the Circuit Court to make sure the job gets done.
Candice is a native of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she was raised with her five siblings. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she graduated with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminology. Immediately after graduation, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked as a manager for a company that required her to oversee a staff of more than 100 employees. This position sent her to multiple locations throughout the United States, and required her to manage departments generating revenue in the millions.
Today, Candice is an attorney with Ankin Law Office, LLC. She oversees a team of both attorneys and non-attorneys, implementing new programs and tracking procedures, to grow one of the three revenue generating departments within firm. She is responsible for building strong working relationships both within the firm and with other law firms throughout the United States. She also handles a caseload while working at Ankin Law, helping injured workers receive benefits they are entitled to. She knows the importance of informing clients of their rights so that they can make the decisions that will be best for their lives. It is this desire to share knowledge and develop and implement new procedures that has led Candice to seek the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for DuPage County.
Candice and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 5 years. They previously lived in Lombard and now reside in Lisle. They have three beautiful children (ages 4, 2, and 1), who keep them active and inspired. They enjoy spending their free time at Morton Arboretum, and look forward to raising their children within the DuPage community.
